In January 2019, the Government of Manitoba launched a review of the province’s K-12 education system. The six areas of focus for the review are: Long-term vision, Student learning, Teaching, Accountability for student learning, Governance, and Funding.
Through a series of interactive Thoughtexchange consultations with the LRSD community, we asked learners, staff and families what the future of education looked like to them. The themes that emerged from these exchanges are provided in the following Summary Report and highlight the voices of the LRSD community as they relate to the six areas of focus in the government review plus an additional area of focus on French Immersion, an important component of the LRSD community.
